Students are NOT required to raise funds. ALL students are welcome to participate in the Walk-A-Thon on Friday, March 29th. Students will have a chance to begin their laps with their class during the school day, and they are welcome to continue walking after school as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Students can earn prizes regardless of whether they collected pledges. All families are welcome to join the event after school is dismissed at 3:00pm.
Ambos programas (Right At School y Beyond The Bell) han acordado acompañar a sus estudiantes a la Walk-A-Thon.
Your child can return their envelope to their teacher by March 26th. Or, if you prefer, you can bring your envelope directly to the front office. Finally, if you’re planning to collect some last-minute pledges, you can give your envelope to a PTA board member at the Walk-A-Thon.
Envelopes can be returned to classrooms until March 26th. After that, you can return the envelope to the front office or to a PTA board member. Pledges (cash, check, and online) will be accepted through Friday, March 29th.
Funds raised by the PTA are used for library books, field trips, assemblies, and more! This year, the PTA has provided funds for teachers to not only purchase classroom supplies, but also for additional educational materials, prizes to encourage learning, and fun projects.
Additional funds have been allocated for field trips and assemblies. Field trips this year included a trip to The Tech Interactive, Palo Alto Art Center and a visit from Sager Family Farm to figure out what’s the big buzz about bees, and there are more trips to come!
